Match of the Generations "The Nutcracker" 2014

The international team chess Match Tournament of the Generations "The Nutcracker" will be held from 19 to 26 December in Moscow. The tournament is organized by the Russian Chess Federation with the help of the Fund for Support of chess creativity and the businessman Oleg Skvortsov.

Match tournament is held in two disciplines: classical (December 20-23, in 1 round, 15.00 Moscow time), rapid chess (24-25 December, in 2 rounds, 15.00, 16.15, 17.30 and 18.45 Moscow time).

Classical time control: 120 minutes for 40 moves + 60 minutes for the next 20 moves + 15 minutes to the end of the game with 30 seconds for each move starting from the 61st move. Players may not agree to a draw before the 40th move inclusively. The players get 2 points for a win,1 point for a draw and 0 for loss.

Rapid time control: 15 minutes before the end of the game with 10 seconds for each move starting from move one. Win - 1, draw - 0.5, loss - 0 points.

The teams consist of 4 players each.
