Bavarian Championship 2018

The 22nd Open International Bavarian Championship takes place in Gmund am Tegernsee, Germany from 27 October to 4 November 2018. The 9-round Swiss tournament boasts almost 500 players with two dozen grandmasters. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the remainder of the game, with a 30-second increment starting from move 1. The prize fund is €16,300, with the winner taking home the €3,000 first prize.
