Capablanca Memorial 2018
May 9, 2018 – May 19, 2018The 53rd edition of the Capablanca Memorial is taking place from May 9-19 in the Habana Libre Hotel in Havana, Cuba. The elite group of the event honouring the Cuban Chess World Champion José Raúl Capablanca is a double round-robin with new US Champion Sam Shankland the top seed. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment starting from move one.
